B&G announces new sail processor, Triton Edge

B&G announces a new sailing processor, Triton Edge, describing it as the most advanced processor ever to hit the boating market.

Triton Edge is presented as the brain behind a sailboat's onboard data and navigation system with expanded and enhanced data. The latest and most powerful microprocessor provides all calculations for the main instrument.

Enhanced navigation data and additional boating-specific features include advanced line-of-sight calculations, advanced true wind data and auto-calibration, boat speed calibration and correction, wind correction for heel/trim angle, improved navigation data displayed to the user, and autopilot guidance.

The built-in web server also provides easy access to system configuration and control, allowing users to upload data recordings to the cloud for viewing, playback and analysis in the B&G app.

Triton Edge is built for sailors using a cruising or dual-purpose cruising/racing system and delivers the sophistication and expanded information you need to cruise faster and make better decisions on the water without too much hassle.

The Triton Edge sail processor delivers an enhanced set of more accurate navigation data for Triton and Nemesi displays, as well as Vulcan and Zeus chartplotters. It offers greater control and the ability to access information both on and off the boat, through app integration and web-based control.
