The LT-1000 Navigation Reference Unit (NRU) is a marine heading sensor with integrated GNSS/GPS receiver from Lars Thrane. The LT-1000 NRU is designed for both the leisure and professional marine markets. The LT-1000 meets all standards and certification requirements necessary for marine navigation equipment worldwide.
PERFORMANCE
The LT-1000 NRU is a small, compact and highly advanced unit with 12 precision sensors (magnetometers, gyros, accelerometers, barometer, thermometer and GNSS/GPS receiver). Using sensor fusion and Kalman filtering, the LT-1000 NRU generates: true heading, roll, pitch, position, ground speed, course over ground, air pressure and temperature in real time, with high accuracy and resolution. The LT-1000 NRU includes advanced technologies such as:
- Kalman filtering
- Calculation of magnetic variation based on the World Magnetic Model (WMM)
- Soft and hard iron compensation (deviation)
- Built-in magnetometer calibration algorithm
- Receive and track multiple satellite systems (GPS, GPS and GLONASS, or GPS and BeiDou)
- Satellite-based augmentation system (SBAS) support: EGNOS, WAAS and MSAS
The LT-1000 NRU leverages the latest technology in GNSS/GPS receivers, delivering market-leading acquisition and tracking performance.
The LT-1000 NRU is designed and built for the demanding and harsh environment at sea and with an operating temperature range of -40⁰C to +55⁰C.
INSTALLATION AND NAVIGATION
The LT-1000 Navigation Reference Unit is easy to mount on a 1” pole with a single NMEA 0183, NMEA 2000 compatible cable and power. The built-in magnetometer calibration algorithm will quickly compensate for heading deviation and the LT-1000 NRU will generate reliable navigation data.
